I read "The Shack" in one day. I couldn't put it down. Your spiritual insights into the relationship that our Creator, Father, Jesus, The Holy Spirit desires to have with us was amazing. I am forever changed! Thank you for this! I too was disappointed to learn that this was not a true story, however, relieved as well. Whether the characters are true or fiction really doesn't matter, the message is total TRUTH! We should all strive to have a relationship with our Heavenly Father like that. Total and complete trust in the midst of success and adversity!

I am just about finished reading this awesome book, I haven't read many books over the years, however, this one of the best.
I am in the process of writing a story about myself. I climbed to the top of a mountain and then walked down into the valley. Right now I am living in a cave that God lead me too.
Grandpa Dewey

No tiene idea del bien que está haciendo su libro, no sólo en la lectura individual sino también en grupos y círculos de lectura.
Sin duda se lo inspiró Sarayu.
Gracias, gracias. gracias.

Finished the Shack last night. Can't stop thinking about it. One thought I had was...I wanted to find out that the drunk driver who hit Mack was actually the ladybug killer and that he died...that's the way I felt. I thought what an odd irony that it would be. Wonderful book.

I am a Pastors wife and been serving the Lord for over 30 years. My words will never express what I am still trying to work through in my heart after reading this book. BUT I do want to say thank you to the author for answering his critics so kindly. I am amazed at the reaction when I began to talk of the profound impact this book has had on my thinking, prayer life and faith. A few wanted to help correct me. Remember these comments are just a small reflection of the impact of this book. You wrote with anointing, period. Thank you for your kind heart.

Tammy; God does talk just like he did to Mack. When my son died, Papa spoke to me and held me together by faith in His goodness.

Why, why, why, did you have to write about the abduction and murder of a child ... wow, that one almost killed me. I put the book down and did not want to read it. Then with so much talk about it I did pick it up again. I am only at the half way point. I don't know what to say now ... I struggle on a daily basis to get that closeness with God.
Will comment again for sure.

The Shack is not factual, but it is true. Fact is whether these things actually happened, while truth is the message. The message in The Shack is that God loves all of us and wants all of us to be in relationship with one another and with God.

My partner and I just finished reading The Shack together this week. We both felt it was powerful and confirmed to us that the conclusions we have come to over the past 20 years about God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit, are right on track. Both of us were raised in a Christian tradition and we have both deviated from church dogma - a lot. She converted to Judiaism a few years ago and feels closer to Jesus when worshiping with Jews at a synagogue. I am thrilled to have recently found a loving community in a Presbyterian congregation. I go to synagogue with her and she attends church with me. We meet God in both places and are welcomed in both traditions. I think that The Shack will free many many people who are tired of church-talk and dead religious practices. God does hate it as much as we do, I'm sure. And I'm equally sure that The Shack is a timely and God-given piece of literature to help us navigate through the difficult years ahead. Thank you for letting God work so powerfully through you.

Thank you Thank you. My husband has told me so many times to read the book. I have now read the book, oh I wish I had read it sooner. But I do not think I was ready, but I was now. I think more about my husband, my children and their families. I want each and everyone in my family heaven togather with the 3-in one. I am sitting here with chills all over my body, the 3-in one is all over me.

God Loves You and my family loves you.
God Bless you and yours.
